The concept behind
Inspired by the beauty of flowers, this collection represents the resilience and inner strength of orchids. Although flower species like these are delicate or fragile, they are not weak. Orchids have survived for thousands of years due to their ability to adapt to their environment and to rebuild themselves.
For this reason, the pieces feature an imitation of the Japanese Kintsugi technique. This technique highlights the beauty of restoring broken ceramic pieces by using gold as an adhesive, leaving the cracks visible. To empathize the idea of the beauty of restoration as part of growth and survival, each piece features golden lines that simulate restored cracks.
This collection reminds us that, like the orchid and many other species, our strength is not just appearing unbreakable, it’s our ability to adapt, rebuild, and keep growing. Even when we seem delicate or fragile on the outside, we carry great inner strength and resilience, just like orchids.
